Dreams Teashop Cafe

This little café is just a little outside the main centre of York on the corner of Fossgate and Merchant Gate.

It doesn’t look much from the outside but the interior is surprisingly nice, clean and bright with a charming view up Fossgate towards the hump backed bridge over the River Foss.

Our meals we well presented on square plates. The food was of good quality  and the price very reasonable with ample servings.

The young man who served us was very pleasant and quickly made us extra toast when he accidentally brought us white toast when we’d asked for brown.

One of our group is a big fan of black pudding and asked for extra helpings, which she was happily supplied with.

I think the Dreams Teashop café is a nice place to visit if you’ve never tried it, and I imagine it has regular visits from people who live along Fossgate and Walmgate.
